Dear Family,
So, on Saturday morning Elder Wagstaff and I were having a perfect morning. We had done everything we needed to that morning and we had just sat down to our studies when...*ring ring!*; President Layton called!
We chatted for several minutes and then he asked us how Wright was going. We informed him of the issues we were having with increasing our pool just like he and I had talked about during our interview. He told me how he was planning on closing Wright for several months.
He asked us to then close all of our contracts, clean up the apartment and get up to Sturgis because we were part of the ET (Emergency Transfer). We now are serving in Sturgis and will most likely be staying here for several months. We cover Sturgis, Deadwood, Vale, Eddington, Whitewood, and Lead. Crazy eh?
Because of the change, we now have a new address!
Elder Burnett
2009 Lazzele St. Apt A
Sturgis, SD 57785
We have an awesome district! Not only do we have Sister D. from my MTC district, but we also have the Zone Leaders, the Assistants, the Seniors (Elder and Sister Rich who are also in our ward), and President and Sister Layton! I will have a blast tomorrow at District Meeting. Oh, and about the ward we are in? Take a guess as to how old the youngest person is? It’s a ward like I have never been in before. I will put the answer at the bottom of the email. :)
I don't have much to relate with investigators seeing we don’t have any...yet. I love this gospel so much! I am honored and blessed to be serving my Savior. I still have faults and weaknesses and I work on them everyday. Thank you so much for your support that you give me. I look forward to the day that we meet again! All my love.
The youngest person in my ward retires in 2 weeks. :)

Good Morning, Elder Burnett,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on your transfer. The Mission Pres. must have a lot of faith in you to help your new area out. That is a complement from Heavenly Father saying, "My Son, Elder Cameron Burnett, I TRUST you will use your heart and influence to rebuild My Gospel here in this part of my vineyard. I couldn't be prouder of you as a missionary, but also a valient Son of God. You are learning quickly and serving him well. If you sometimes feel you fall short, that is only natural, that feeling of inadequecy helps us keep on our toes.
Grandpa is still working best he can, Aunt Jeri had me send a resume to Salt Lake where she works, and I did. As I ponder and pray about the move there at this time, something doesn't feel right. Grandpa and I have been praying about it and we will go to the Temple this week to feel closer to his guidance. We just want to do what He wants us to do. Go where He wants us to go and in the right time.
I just heard that Pres Tanner sent a resume to Guam to teach there. Don't know if they really will go there but who knows.
Grandpa got a call from one of his friends in construction, he needed some young guy to help so Grandpa suggested the Kennington boy that just came home from his mission. I am glad you are having, construction and auto mechanic experience adventures.
Grandpa wants to let you know how proud he is of you. Trust in the Lord in all things, listen to the promptings of the Spirit and you will do fine. He loves you.
I love you,
Grandma
